Mr. Giovanni Mambrini has served as Quince’s Chief Technology Officer since October 2023. To this role, he brings more than 25 years of medical device technology experience with cross-functional expertise in bringing complex programs to market, including experience securing Conformité Européene (CE) mark and FDA regulatory approval for several innovative device products.
Previously, Mr. Mambrini served as Chief Operating Officer of EryDel S.p.A. prior to its acquisition by Quince in October 2023. As a co-founder of EryDel in 2008, he has played an integral role in the development of the company’s autologous intracellular drug encapsulation (AIDE) technology, in addition to serving in a number of leadership roles, including as Head of Medical Devices and as General Manager for EryDel during the company’s formative years.
Prior to EryDel, Mr. Mambrini served in various roles for multinational medical device technology companies with robust development experience across a number of products for blood processing, cardiac surgery, anesthesia, intensive care, combination products, as well as advanced therapies. He led cross-functional international teams bringing complex programs to market with responsibilities that included R&D, IP portfolio creation and management, production, automation, quality assurance, GMP, and logistics. Notably, Mr. Mambrini served as Manager of R&D at Covidien, as Scientific Affair Manager at Dideco, and as Leader of Biocompatibility & Biosensors for the Centre for Innovation and Technological Excellence at Sorin Group Italia, currently LivaNova.
Mr. Mambrini holds a MSc in Pharmaceutical Technologies and Chemistry from the University of Bologna, in addition to completing a specialized laboratory research program in Biotechnology.
